2019年3月22日，GIA全球总监Mr.Stephen和中国区总经理李皓辰先生莅临合肥常青学校，为GIA中国教学研发中心授牌。至此，GIA中国区教学研发中心落地合肥。
On March 22.,2019, the Global Director of GIA, Mr.Stephen and General Manager of GIA in China, Mr.Li Haochen visited Hefei Ivy Experimental Academy to authorize “GIA China Bilingual Academic Center “to Bilingual Department of the school. So far, GIA China Bilingual Academic Center had been located in Hefei.
GIA领导一行，整个上午走进课堂，检查教学落实情况及各功能室的建设。与老师孩子们近距离接触，聆听课堂教学实况，耳闻目睹了老师与孩子们生动有效的课堂教学。
GIA leaders walked into different classrooms all the morning to check the implementation of teaching and the construction of each function room. They had close contact with teachers and students, and they listened to the classes. They listened to and witnessed the vivid and effective classes of teachers and children.
下午，“授权揭牌仪式”在校会议室举行。合肥常青学校董事会成员，全体教师，家长代表和学生齐聚一堂。值此之际，在中美两国国旗的见证下，Mr.Stephen先生为合肥常青学校授予了“GIA中国教学研发中心”的牌匾,为合肥常青学校授予“GIA中国区学校”的牌匾。
In the afternoon, The GIA Authorized Ceremony of Hefei Ivy Experimental Academy and the Opening Ceremony of GIA China Bilingual Academic Center were held in the school conference room. All the members of school board in Hefei Ivy Experimental Academy ,all bilingual teachers, representative of parents gathered there. On this occasion, in the presence of the national flags of China and the United States , Mr.Stephen authorized “GIA China Bilingual Academic Center”to the Bilingual Department of Hefei Ivy Experimental Academy.
参加揭牌仪式的有GIA全球总监Stephen先生，GIA中国区总经理李皓辰先生，合肥常青学校双语部校长杨晓华女士，合肥常青学校GIA顾问校董贝文彪先生，合肥常青学校GIA顾问校董李继和先生，合肥常青学校GIA顾问校董吕红女士，合肥常青学校执行董事文雪先生，合肥常青学校国际部校长Mr.Bryan先生及国际教育专家Rebecca博士。
The ceremony was attended by the Global Director of GIA, Mr.Stephen;General Manager of GIA in China, Mr.Li Haochen; the Principle of Bilingual Department of Hefei Ivy Experimental Academy, Ms.Yang Xiaohua; the member of school board, Mr.Bei Wenbiao; the member of school board, Mr.Li Jihe; the member of school board, Ms.Lv Hong; Executive Director of Hefei Ivy Experimental Academy, Mr.Wen Xue, the Principle of International Department, Mr.Bryan; and International Education Expert,Dr.Rebecca.
首先，由合肥常青学校GIA顾问校董贝文彪先生对Mr.Stephen与李皓辰先生表示了由衷的感谢。感谢他们不远万里来到中国合肥，为常青学校进行授牌。并表示希望大家铭记今天，时刻践行GIA四大核心价值观，全力办好“中国底色，国际特色”的国际化学校。
First, Mr.Bei Wenbiao expressed his heartfelt thanks to Mr.Stephen and Mr.Li Haochen and thanked them for their coming all the way to China to authorize “GIA China Bilingual Academic Center” to Hefei Ivy Experimental Academy. He hoped that all of the school members can remember this meaningful day, and always practice the four core values of GIA and try our best to run an international school with “Chinese Characteristics and International Features” .
随后由Mr.Stephen为仪式致辞。Mr.Stephen特别谈到，作为一所“新型、高端、国际化”的学校，我们要始终为学生的成长提供最好的“土壤、灌溉和养料”，并期待每一名学生长成参天大树的那一天。
Then,Mr.Stephen addressed the ceremony. In particular, he said that as a “New, High-end, International” school,we should provide the best “soil, irrigation, nutrients ” for the growth of the students and look forward to the day when every student here grows into a towering tree.
李皓辰先生在演讲中充分肯定了合肥常青学校在GIA教学所取得的成绩。在中外教课堂中，可以看到老师们GIA教学法的运用和孩子们的收获。并对学校的发展与未来寄予信任与期许。他提到，在践行GIA四大核心价值观的同时，和中国九年义务教育相结合，做好符合中国国情的双语教学及研究是我们义不容辞的责任和使命。
Mr.Li Haochen affirmed the achivements made by the Bilingual Department members of Hefei Ivy Experimental Academy in his speech. He said either from the classes of Chinese teachers or the classes of foreigner teachers, he can see the application of GIA teaching method and the harvest of the kids. Also, he showed his trust and expectations in the development and the future of the school. He mentioned that while practicing four core values of GIA,we need to combine it with nine-year compulsory education. It’s our obligatory responsibility and mission to carry out bilingual teaching and research in line with Chinese national conditions.
最后，双语部校长杨晓华女士对参会的各位领导及家长代表深表感谢。总结中饱含深情地谈到，我们应该对今天的幸福美好和高端的学习工作环境倍加珍惜，对老师和同学们所做的努力深感欣慰，对未来的学术和学校发展提出更高的愿景。杨校长指出，作为一名双语教学的研究者和具有世界教育情怀的中国教师和国际教师，我们都应不忘时代赋予教师的责任与初心，为每一位孩子的成长担好责、履好职、上好备好每一节课。
Finally, Ms.Yang Xiaohua, Principle of Bilingual Department of Hefei Ivy Experimental Academy, she expressed her deep gratitude to all the leaders and parents present . In the conclusion, she said we should cherish the pleasant and high-end atmosphere of learning and working now, and be deeply gratified by the efforts made by teachers and students.Also, higher expectation for the future development of academy and school should be raised. Principle Yang pointed out that as a researcher of bilingual teaching, as a Chinese teacher with international education feelings as well as an international teacher, we should not forget teachers’ responsibilities and original heart given by the Times, just to be responsible for the growth of each child and fulfill our duties and make good preparations for every lesson.
杨校长引领全体师生宣誓：珍惜现在，从我做起，努力学习，做有责任，有担当的人。努力完成每一天的学习和工作。报效祖国，报效地球，做最精彩的自己。
Principle Yang led all the teachers and students to oath:“cherish now and start from me, to study hard and to work hard, to be a responsible person. Try to finish everyday learning and working. Serve the motherland, serve the earth, and to be the best one of yourself”.
下午两点，杨校长主持会议，召开了“GIA双语听课指导与研讨”会。会上，Mr.Stephen就教学方法和教学内容提出了许多珍贵的意见。他谈到：“作为一所新型双语学校，我们的教师和教学更应该体会到‘双语教学’的魅力。在双语教学及研发方面，我们是领航学校。”
At 2:00p.m., Principle Yang hosted and held GIA Bilingual Lectures and Seminars of English Teaching. At the meeting, Mr.Stephen made many valuable comments on teaching methods and content. He said , “as a new type of bilingual school, our teachers should be more aware of the charm of bilingual teaching. In terms of bilingual teaching ,our school is a flagship school.”
校长助理闫然老师对实施GIA教学的具体做法进行了汇报，会上英语教师们纷纷发表感慨和建议，将学术讨论氛围推向了最高潮。大家就共同关心的教研和评价达成了共识。
Principle Assistant Ms.Yan Ran ,reported on the specific practice of GIA teaching. At the meeting, English teachers all talked about their thoughts and suggestions, which pushed the atmosphere of academy to the climax. People present reached a consensus on teaching research and evaluation of common concern.
